Ameriprise Financial began in 1894 with John Tappan. His vision was simple - to create a business that could help clients realize their dreams.
Originally named Investors Syndicate, Mr. Tappan's company is now known as Ameriprise Financial. Helping clients realize their financial goals and dreams is the key principle upon which their company was founded more than a century ago, and it endures as their core mission today.
Since 1894, they have focused on shaping financial solutions designed to meet their clients needs. This began with their earliest products, the investment certificate and their first mutual funds in the 1940s, and continues today with insurance and annuities.
